Law Enforcement Agencies Staged at Border in Eagle Pass
EAGLE PASS – Law enforcement is staging in and around Eagle Pass for the arrival of thousands of migrants.
KRGV’s Christian von Preysing and Angelo Vargas made a visit to the portion of the border where many law enforcement entities are gathered.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, Border Patrol agents and Department of Public Safety troopers are stationed near the border fence where the migrants are expected to arrive.
Border Patrol agents are stationed along every opening on the Rio Grande.
Thousands of migrants who are seeking asylum are being housed in a nearby facility.
Retired CBP officer Arturo Rodriguez tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS he believes this is a waste of manpower.
Officials say they are prepared if any issues arise.
