McAllen High senior guard Judah Rios is playing college basketball after signing his letter of intent to Missouri Valley College on Thursday afternoon.

Rios received first team All-District and All-Defensive team honors. He also reached the 1,000 career points scored threshold and helped the Bulldogs win 38 straight games this past season.

"I always wanted to play in college, but there were some ups and downs in high school that made me not want to play in college," Rios said. "But as I just kept playing, I kept talking to my parents, I kept praying, I realized that I do want to play in college and I want to make a difference not only through basketball but just through my life talking about Jesus."
