Shelters Open after Storm Hits the Valley and Floods

WESLACO – Shelters across the Rio Grande Valley are open for anyone needing a place to stay dry.

Power outages are impacting more than 9,000 Valley residents. You can search your location and see the estimated time power will be restored in your area, click here to view.

There are also a number of road closures due to flooding. Stay up-to-date by visiting DriveTexas.org.

Anyone in Hidalgo County in need of help is asked to contact the emergency call center at 956-292-7012.

If you're in Willacy County, residents are asked to call the sheriff's department at 956-689-5576.
