Student facing charges after making threat at Edinburg school

EDINBURG – A student accused of making a threat to an Edinburg high school is now facing charges.

It happened at Robert Vela High School on Friday, prompting a lockdown. Details of the threat are unknown.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told the student who is charged did not have any weapons.

Details on the charges the student is facing cannot be released due to them being a minor.
