EDINBURG – A verdict was handed down in a murder case stemming from a fit of road rage in Edinburg.

Fabian Paredes was convicted of shooting and killing 27-year-old Joshua David Sanchez after a road rage incident in Oct. 2017.

Paredes maintained a self-defense plea from the beginning, but the jury unanimously didn’t believe him.

The family of Sanchez reacted with tears and sighs of relief.

The sentencing for Paredes will be held Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.
