Trio Arrested in Connection to Brownsville Auto Theft Cases

BROWNSVILLE - Three men are facing auto theft and engaging in organized criminal activity charges.

Brownsville police auto theft agents arrested Mario Humberto Tirado and Jesus Esteban Garza a few weeks ago.

A third suspect, Ivan Francisco Fernandez, was arrested Jan. 9 when he allegedly attempted to cross a stolen Jeep into Mexico.

Agents said they recovered two of five stolen Jeeps.

The case remains under investigation.
