EL PASO, TEXAS - Our CHANNEL 5 NEWS team in El Paso spoke to the employer of the Rio Grande Valley native killed in the Walmart shooting incident.

Leo Campos worked for Triwest, a company that assists veterans.

A separate female employee was also shot three times.

The company’s CEO, David McIntire, explains they first heard of her injuries on the day of the shooting.

She’s undergone multiple operations since then and continues fighting for her life.

Leo Campos’s son also works for Triwest.

The company’s employees are offering him their support.

“Our employees in El Paso responded immediately by wrapping their arms around his son and going up to the reunification site, spending the day there. Then we notified the VA who we work side by side with of the loss we had,” says McIntire.

Triwest is also providing counseling to their employees to help them cope with their loss and trauma.
