CIUDAD MIER, TAMAULIPAS – A 13-year-old from the United States was killed Saturday night across the border from Roma.

The State of Tamaulipas released the information about the incident Sunday. The teen was traveling in a vehicle with two adults and another child.

A separate vehicle was also with them, both had Oklahoma license plates. They were heading to the U.S. where they reside, according to the state's information.

An unknown truck tried to get both vehicles to stop but the drivers refused.
