McAllen, TX (KRGV) — Yaqui Animal Rescue will host a free drive-thru clinic for pet vaccinations and microchips.
Yaqui Animal Shelter will start the clinic at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg and continue while supplies last. The first 100 dogs will get rabies and DHPP shots, microchips, and wellness preventives.
“We did an event like this about a month ago with [Hidalgo County Precinct 2], and we had about 160 animals that we served. So, we're really glad to do it again, and we'll be able to serve at least another hundred dogs,” Yaqui Animal Rescue Media and Outreach Director Alyssa Cerroni said.
Organizers ask pet owners to stay in their cars with their pets. Families can bring up to three dogs.
The clinic is first come, first served.
