3 Tropical Disturbances Brew in Atlantic amid Peak of Hurricane Season

BROWNSVILLE – Some of the biggest named storms in Texas hit this time of year, the peak of hurricane season.

Tropical Storm Fernand hit south the of the Rio Grande Valley last week; Hurricane Dorian pummeled the Bahamas and now all eyes are on three more areas of possible development.

A glance back at history revealed Hurricane Beulah started forming in the Atlantic this time of year in 1967.

A meteorologist with the National Weather Service says all eyes will stay on the tropics until the end of the season.
