A Sacrifice: Valley First Responders Working Holidays
EDINBURG – The work never stops for the men and women wearing badges during the holidays.
For some first responders, it’s their first Thanksgiving away from their loved ones.
“So I will not be spending it with him, but it’s part of the job. I mean, we protect the community and it’s also a comfort I’m also protecting my family at home,” said Sarah Carcano, an Edinburg firefighter, about her 2-year-old son and family.
Whether the uniform is black, blue or green, first responders will be out protecting and making sure we have a safe holiday season.
