American Airlines suspends flights to Hong Kong due to virus
By The Associated Press
American Airlines is suspending flights to Hong Kong as the coronavirus outbreak undercuts demand for travel to mainland China and Hong Kong. American said Tuesday it will suspend flights from Los Angeles and Dallas-Fort Worth to Hong Kong through Feb. 20. The airline had already halted flights to mainland China for even longer; through March 27. Even before the virus outbreak that started in Wuhan, China, interest in flying to Hong Kong was weakened by anti-government protests in the city.
