According to an indictment, Castillo allegedly distributed THC, cocaine, meth and fentanyl. His arrest was linked to the October 2023 fatal overdoses of eight people in Brownsville and Harlingen from fentanyl-tainted drugs.

On Monday, Sept. 15, Castillo pleaded guilty again. His sentencing is set for Friday, Sept. 18.
