DONNA – A Rio Grande Valley man is worried floods will destroy his trailer; he tells us it’s all he has.

Armando Quintanilla and his wife have lived in the Donna area for 30 years, but about a year ago an international bridge was built.

He says the bridge has changed how the area drains, causing a number of flooding incidents.

Quintanilla explains the drainage ditch in front of his house now has no exit for the water to flow out.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS reached out to Hidalgo County Drainage District Number One to see if anyone can provide Quintanilla guidance to repair the drainage system.

The drainage district operations manager, Jaime Salazar, says Quintanilla can call his office and the staff will be happy to help assist.

Quintanilla says he will call in the next few days.
