Lyford, TX (KRGV) — A Chain Electric Company employee was hospitalized following an auto-pedestrian crash involving a work truck, according to Lyford Police Chief Marcos Garcia.

Garcia said the crash occurred at North Frontage Road and Spur 56, and the employee suffered head injuries.

Emergency Management Coordinator Frank Torres said the employee was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center in critical condition.

Lyford police were assisted by the Precinct 4 Constables Office, Willacy EMS and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
