SAN CARLOS – A man in San Carlos is dead following an accident where he was caught under a trailer.

Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies were on scene to investigate what happened Monday afternoon on the outskirts of San Carlos.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said the man was killed by the weight of the trailer. They had crime investigators on scene.

The exact details of how the trailer managed to crush the man aren’t finalized by investigators.

A funeral home took custody of his body.

The sheriff’s office said an autopsy isn’t ordered at this time.
