PHARR – An investigation is underway after a deadly stabbing in Pharr.

Authorities responded to a call Sunday at 7:30 p.m. on the 3400 block of North Mezcal Drive.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a male victim with lacerations to his lower body.

The suspect was taken into custody.

The man who was stabbed was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Officers say the incident occurred after an altercation with a neighbor.

Other residents in the area say the suspect in this case has a history of violent outbursts.

The suspect could be charged some time Monday.
