EDINBURG – In any emergency situation seconds count.

A patient’s medical history can be the difference between life and death.

Now, a new tool is available for some residents in Hidalgo County Precinct 1 that should shave seconds off a response time and provide important medical information.

A simple sticker placed on the entrance of your home and a magnetic “File of Life” pouch on your refrigerator will help first responders know where to obtain lifesaving information.
