WESLACO – The IRS is issuing a warning to international taxpayers and non-resident aliens.  

The agency says criminals are using a fake IRS form W-8BEN to aid in identity theft.  

Form W-8BEN is a legitimate U.S. withholding certificate used by foreign individuals.
