EAGLE PASS – The migrant caravan brought extra law enforcement from both sides of the border.

On the U.S. side, the Department of Public Safety, Border Patrol and U.S. Customs and Border Protection are stationed.

On the other side, Mexican federal police are looking over the river onto the U.S.

Residents who live nearby want to know more about this caravan.

"In this report, I only have four incidents that we had on the 6th of February, which is good news. Usually, have more than that, 10 or 12," explains Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber.

Schmerber says he is in contact with authorities on the other side of the border.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas has the details.
