Man Accused of Pointing Gun at Police Pleads Guilty
MCALLEN – A man accused of pointing a gun at McAllen police officers pleads guilty to one count.
Eighteen-year-old Juan Manuel Morin Jr. pled guilty to criminal attempt capital murder of a peace officer.
A second similar charge and an attempted aggravated robbery charge were dismissed.
He will spend five years in prison.
Police responded to a call about a man with a gun on Rose Ellen Circle earlier this year.
After finding Morin, officers said they found the discarded handgun nearby.
