EDINBURG – A trial date is set for a Rio Grande Valley man charged with impersonating a police officer.

Joseph Louis Pozuc was arraigned Wednesday in Hidalgo County.

Court documents show Pozuc intentionally impersonated a peace officer with the intent to get a person to submit to him and rely on him to tow a vehicle.

Pozuc is out on a $5,000 bond.

His trial is scheduled for Oct. 16.
