Mosquitoes Tested in Cameron Co. Show Negative Results for Diseases
BROWNSVILLE – The Cameron County Health Department confirm all mosquitoes that have been tested for viruses and diseases came back negative.
Mosquitoes in the Rio Grande Valley can carry Zika, dengue, chikungunya, among others.
Health officials hope residents will help keep mosquitoes from breeding.
All you have to do is empty out any standing water on your property.
If you see several mosquitoes in your area, you can file a complaint with the county health department.
