A Valley nonprofit is calling on the community for assistance with relocating a veteran to Corpus Christi.

America’s Last Patrol Delta Force needs help moving a disabled Gulf War Navy veteran to a Corpus Christi Coastal Bend Nursing Home.

America’s Last Patrol is an organization that advocates and assists veterans in need of help.

The nonprofit leader says to help relocate the veteran safely, they need a handicap-equipped van with a wheelchair ramp.

"The gentleman has a power chair that needs to go with him," Commander of America's Last Patrol Delta Force Richard Pena said. "We have a van to transport him, but we don't have the handicap-equipped van. He wants to be relocated to Corpus because they have more equipment that he needs."

The veteran is scheduled for relocation on June 13.
