Red Cross Helping Edinburg Family after Severe Winds Damage Home
EDINBURG – Serious winds hit all around the Rio Grande Valley on Friday. Pictures of damage were sent by viewers in different areas.
A light pole down at an elementary school, a church in Edinburg lost its awning, trampolines on the roadways.
For a family in Edinburg, the strong winds made their home unlivable. The winds pulled the roof off Leonor Ramos’ home. She was inside when he happened around 10:30 a.m.
The American Red Cross is working to connect them with any nonprofits that may help with home reconstruction.
The organization also wants anyone whose home was damaged to the point they can’t live in it, call for help at 956-423-0523.
