SpaceX is preparing for the 14th flight test of the Starship rocket at Boca Chica.

The launch window has been delayed by 30 minutes and target launch time is now set for 7:46 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28.

According to SpaceX, the flight test is planned to be the first to send Starship into orbit around Earth. Previous flight tests have intentionally flew passive suborbital trajectories to maximize public safety while allowing for maximum learning.

SpaceX has released a noise advisory for residents of Cameron County. Those in the nearby area may hear a loud noise resulting from the rocket’s 33 Raptor engines firing upon ignition and as the vehicle launches toward space.

The city of Starbase issues public notices on temporary closures of Boca Chica Beach and State Highway 4. People can also text "BEACH" to 1-866-513-3475 to receive updates about beach closures and road access delays.
