BROWNSVILLE – A Cameron County teen on trial as an adult for murder was found guilty Tuesday.

Frank Alan Taylor is accused of shooting and killing 32-year-old Byron Pineda when he was 16 years old.

The shooting happened during a party at the Rosemont Apartments in Harlingen.

Pineda was taken to the hospital by two women.

He later died from his injuries.

Five other people at the party were also charged with misdemeanor failure to report a felony.

The 19-year-old will be sentenced June 5.
