Trial to Begin for 2 Men Charged in Death of Border Patrol Agent
BROWNSVILLE – A trial will begin on Monday for two men charged in the murder of a border patrol agent who was killed in 2014.
The Cameron County’s District Attorney’s office says jury selection ended on Friday.
Javier Vega Jr. was killed when he was fishing with family in a canal in Willacy County.
Authorities say two men approached and attempted to rob him and his family.
The two men were arrested and charged with capital murder.
