Breast cancer impacts one in eight women in their lifetime and a Rio Grande Valley group is helping patients and survivors throughout their journey and their battle.

Beyond the Ribbon Co-Founder Amanda Flores-De La Fuente and board member Kassandra Rodriguez spoke with Channel 5 News' Dina Herrera Garza about their upcoming wellness event and how the proceeds will help breast cancer patients.

Stronger Than The Ribbon Wellness Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Casa Once in Mission.
