Weslaco investing $150,000 to repave four neighborhood streets
Weslaco city crews are about to repave four neighborhood streets.
First Street, Iowa Avenue, Illinois Avenue, and Sinclair Street are all getting new pavement. A city crew inspected the roads and found they needed work.
The $150,000 job is paid for through the city's general fund.
Repaving is scheduled to begin next week, with the project expected to wrap up within two weeks.
Weslaco Mayor Adrian Gonzalez said drivers will notice the difference.
"We want to make sure your way back home is smoother. We understand in some areas there are potholes or just a bumpy street," Gonzalez said. "What we are trying to do is improve our city."
