MCALLEN – The wife of a Rio Grande Valley doctor accused of misdiagnosing patients for profit was denied bond.

Attorneys for Meisy Zamora argued she was not a flight risk because of family and community ties to the Valley.

Still, the judge did not issue a bond.

Zamora faces charges of money laundering, tampering with a witness, victim or informant.
