WESLACO – A Weslaco homeowner is relieved she was able to keep her home.

Perla Garcia says she was able to buy a piece of land she thought she already owned.

As CHANNEL 5 NEWS reported, Garcia received a foreclosure notice last week.

She later learned the person she bought the house from did not tell her a section of the lot was not hers.

The property had years of unpaid taxes attached to it.

On Tuesday, she was able to buy that piece of land at an auction.
