Construction Project near La Joya School Causing Concerns

PALMVIEW – Last minute preparations are being made near a La Joya school as the first day of class approaches.
A La Joya ISD school is working around a construction project blocking off one side of the campus.
A homeowner nearby fears regular traffic, mixed with buses and parents trying to drop off kids are going to create a problem.
"They're trying to do too much with little equipment; they should just focus especially on the school zone,” he says.
Police Chief Raul Gonzalez says they already have a plan in place.
"We just want everybody to be patient make sure that they follow the recommendations that were given and make sure when they look at the letter that we sent…,” says Gonzalez.
