Investigation Underway into Death of Man along Pharr Int'l Bridge
PHARR – A death investigation is underway at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge. According to preliminary information, there is a body of man along the southbound lane.
The Tamaulipas Attorney’s Office confirmed to CHANNEL 5 NEWS they are handling the case.
Initial reports indicate the man was threatening to jump if authorities didn’t let him cross into the U.S.
Mexican customs officials saw the man and asked for help. Suicide is suspected, but it’s unknown how he died or his nationality.
We are requesting more information from Customs and Border Protection who are seen near the body.
