“I feel like music is always going to be part of my life,” Aedyn said.

The 19-year-old has a condition called optic nerve hypoplasia.

“Basically, my optic nerve is underdeveloped,” Aedyn said. “So out of my left eye I can see dark and light, and on my right eye, I can see things close up. So it's like severe near-sightedness in a way."

Despite this challenge, Aedyn has proven that with heart and determination, anything is possible.

“Everyone faces challenges and adversity, but you got to make the best out of it,” Aedyn said. “It feels good when people receive my music well. And really the message I’m trying to send is you can do it, regardless of whatever you think is holding you back."

You can catch him performing at different restaurants and bars across the Valley.

“The music scene is pretty tight-knit, and there's a lot of little spots to play down here,” Aedyn said. “I've met a lot of great musicians and over the past year, I’ve been trying to put myself out there more, going to open mics locally."
