RIO GRANDE CITY – A reward of $5,000 is being offered in exchange for information that will help locate two missing Starr County teens.

Mario Alberto Garza, 17, and Rosbel Garza, 19, were last seen on Wednesday, Oct. 18 leaving their house on a grey Dodge Dakota single-cab truck. The mother said her sons stopped answering her phone calls.

The same day they went missing, Starr County sheriff deputies responded to a call about a vehicle on fire on La Sagunada Road west of FM 755.

Investigators said it was determined the truck was theirs. They said it appeared someone had rammed the vehicle through a gate, hit a mesquite tree and left it to burn.

The case is still under investigation.

Anyone with information that might lead to them is encouraged to call the Starr County Sheriff’s Office at 956-487-5571.
