Bond Set for Wife of Valley Doctor Accused of Health Care Fraud

MCALLEN – Bond is set for the wife of a Rio Grande Valley doctor accused of health care fraud.

Meisy Zamora’s bond was set at $250,000.

There are some conditions upon her release, they include: not allowed to travel to Mexico, must have a GPS monitor and cannot have contact with her husband, other defendants, or victims.

Meisy Zamora is the wife to Dr. Jorge Zamora-Quezada.

She is accused of helping her husband commit health care fraud, launder money and trying to cover it up.

Her husband remains in custody until his trial in September.

He's accused of misdiagnosing patients for profit.
