Border Patrol Foil Drug Smuggling Attempt
BROWNSVILLE – Border Patrol agents in Brownsville stopped a drug smuggling attempt Tuesday afternoon.
Agents observed a driver of a pickup truck turn back towards the Rio Grande as they approached the vehicle.
According to officials, the driver bailed out and swam to Mexico.
Inside the vehicle, agents discovered and seized nearly $300,000 worth of marijuana weighing over 370 pounds.
