BROWNSVILLE – Officials confirmed a boy left the Casa Padre Southwest Key facility in Brownsville.

Police say the report was made around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The boy’s age and identity are unknown.  

Southwest Key issued a statement.

“We are not a detention center. If a child leaves the property, we cannot force them to stay.”
