CBP Officers at Pharr Intl.Bridge Seize $1.6M in Cocaine
PHARR – Customs and Border Protection at the Pharr International Bridge intercepted cocaine in a commercial shipment of carrots worth $1.6 million.
The seizure occurred on Sept. 26 after CBP officers encountered a tractor-trailer containing fresh carrots.
After referring the shipment for a more thorough inspection, officers located 60 packages of alleged cocaine hidden in the trailer.
CBP seized the narcotics and the tractor-trailer remains under investigation.
