MCALLEN – Extra security is now in place at an illegal dumping site in McAllen.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS had reported code enforcement officials were looking into how to resolve the problem along old South 10th Street.

A McAllen spokesperson confirmed they have installed cameras in the area south of the airport.

So far, all clear since Friday.

The city of Edinburg has benefited from the same strategy they started earlier this month.
