The top cop in Edcouch was suspended Friday following his overnight arrest by police in Edinburg.

Roel Guerra Jr. arraigned on charges of assault.

According to a police report, the victim told officers Guerra Jr. pushed her, grabbed her arm and pulled her hair.

Guerra Jr. is out on bond.
