Edinburg CISD Investigating after Child Left Behind in School Bus
MCALLEN – The public is voicing their concerns after a pre-K student was left behind in a hot bus in McAllen.
A woman says she rescued the child after seeing him trying to get out through an emergency escape at the parking lot of Chuck E. Cheese off of Trenton Road.
When asked about protocols for off-campus field trips, the Edinburg Consolidated School District responded with the following statement, which reads in part:
“The district is addressing this issue and it is under investigation. The child is safe and the parents were notified. The safety of our students is always the district’s top priority.”
