EDINBURG – In Edinburg, police are reminding people about the rules for sex offenders on Halloween night.

Registered sex offenders must be indoors at their homes on Halloween between 4 p.m. and 12 a.m.

They are also instructed to have their lights off and post a sign on their door stating they have no candy.

Officers will also be patrolling and check on those homes.

Parents can visit Crimereports.com and the Texas Department of Public Safety offender registry to see which homes to avoid.
