Harlingen Police Searching for Man Accused of Pointing Gun after Dispute

HARLINGEN – Harlingen police are searching for a suspect in reference to an aggravated assault Friday morning.

Officials were called out to an apartment complex on the 1500 block of Sam Houston Drive.

The victim who made the report says the man pointed a handgun at him after a dispute then entered an apartment.

Responding officers tried to make contact with the male suspect.

When they were unable to, a SWAT team was called to the scene.

SWAT made their way into the complex, but did not find anyone inside; they checked neighboring units as a precaution.

Management told authorities the man did not live in the complex.

The suspect police are looking for is described as a Hispanic male with tattoos resembling horns on his forehead.
