MERCEDES – A delay in debris cleanup from June’s flooding has Mercedes residents concerned.

Some property owners tell CHANNEL 5 NEWS they have been waiting for a month to get their yards cleaned up.  

The city of Mercedes says they're taking action to speed up the process.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas spoke with City Manager and Planning Director Sergio Zavala about the delay.

He explains residents can call him to have their issues resolved.
