PEÑITAS – Officials in Peñitas are asking residents to keep an eye out for a bobcat.

The city says the animal was seen in the area and residents are encouraged to use extreme caution.

If anyone spots the bobcat is asked not to approach it and to call 9-1-1.

Although the post on their city's facebook page, bobcats are native to the Rio Grande Valley.
