PRIMERA – A Primera man wanted for assault is on the run.

Police received a call in reference to the incident that occurred at the 2300 block of Cragon Road at about 3:30 a.m. Monday.

When they arrived, a woman reported she was assaulted by Melton Michael Gonzalez.

Police arrested the 34-year-old and requested medical treatment for an injury he sustained. 

When the ambulance arrived at the hospital, Gonzalez fled on foot.
