Primera Police Searching for Person of Interest in Theft

UPDATE (12:00 p.m.): The person of interest in a burglary in Primera was identified. The father of the teen turned him in.

Officials said the father questioned the teen about the theft. The 16-year-old then allegedly confessed to his father that he stole some tools while they were at a convenience store.

The father brought the teen with the stolen items to the Primera Police Department. He’s being held a juvenile detention center.

PRIMERA – Primera police are tracking down a person of interest in a theft case.

On Tuesday, a suspect walked up to a parked pick-up at one of the gas pumps at Mr. G’s Convenience Store off Primera Road. He ended up walking away with $350 in tools.

The man is said to have been driving a pick-up truck that the suspect was riding in.

The person of interest stopped at a gas pump and walked inside the store. While the man was in the convenience store, police said the passenger in his vehicle got out and stole the tools from another parked truck at the fuel pumps.

Police said the person of interest may have been driving a white Ford extended cab pick-up.
