SEBASTIAN – A Sebastian man is concerned about the spread of eight-liners in his town.

Ralph Puri says he moved from Harlingen to Sebastian two years ago to live in a more rural environment.

He says he now fears the quiet, small-town lifestyle will be interrupted with eight-liner businesses nearby.

“They had gone away for about two months now and now they're slowly starting to come back, pick back up,”  says Puri.

KRGV’s Frank McCaffrey spoke with Willacy County Sheriff Larry Spence to find out if the spread will be halted.

Spence tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS three of the businesses were granted licenses to operate in Willacy County last week.
